NorBays Awards (and art show)

Attention, North Bay Area/Santa Rosa folks! There is a big whatsit happening at the Arlene Francis Center in Railroad Square, Santa Rosa, this Saturday: In conjunction with the naming of the North Bay Music Award winners, there will also be an art show featuring Bohemian cover artists, including yours truly! I just shipped three pieces all the way from New York, so you have to go! Also because it's free! And also because there will be live music from bands made up of strangers who have only been working together for 24 hours, and that's the kind of risky creative experiment I like!

Sun Worshippers release party

Photo by Sierra Stinson. I am soaking in culture on the right.
Friend and curator Sierra Stinson was in New York for a minute for the release party of Sun Worshippers, a publication featuring the work of 26 Seattle-based artists she curated.  She's also the genius behind Vignettes, a series of small exhibitions that appear for one night only in her studio apartment in Seattle. If you're in the Seattle area, you should keep your eye out for her shows, which I think occur twice a month. Follow Vignettes here and read more about it here
